Program Overview

Nurturing a Passion for Quality in Promising Young Designers

The Student Web Awards was founded on the principle that nurturing young minds stimulates future innovation in technology and communication. By providing the opportunity for high school students to receive nationwide recognition for their outstanding Web design work, The Student Web Awards motivates young designers to enhance both their technical aptitude and their creative skills.

Working to Reach Students

Each year, we send out thousands of posters and e-mail messages to technology teachers at high schools across the country, currently reaching over 6,000 public and private schools in 21 states. We consistently make a strong effort to encourage students to submit their Web design work, recognizing that the more submissions we receive, the more selective our contest becomes.

Few and Far Between

The Awards are presented annually, each fall. Winning The Student Web Awards is a rare honor, and certainly an accomplishment of which students can be proud.

Professional Standards

The Student Web Awards has challenging, comprehensive standards. Nominated Web sites are judged in nine separate areas, including typography, navigation, image quality, and compatibility. Award winners earn recognition as the leading young Web designers in the United States.

The Student Web Awards reaches students through an advanced
proprietary network of over 6,000 technologyteachers in 37 states.
