Technology giants Lycos, Macromedia show their support

Technology giants Lycos and Macromedia have agreed to support The Student Web Awards by providing prizes for this year's contest winners.

The top three winners of The Student Web Awards will receive educational copies of Macromedia's Studio MX 2004, the heart of Macromedia's Web Publishing System. This complete web development tool includes Dreamweaver MX 2004, Flash MX Professional 2004, Fireworks MX 2004 and Freehand MX. Winner of the Software Development Magazine Jolt Award for Best Web Development Tool, Studio MX 2004 enables users to move more quickly among applications, deliver high-quality video, and work with mobile devices.

In addition, the top five winners of the 2004 Awards will receive complementary five-month subscriptions to a special bonus edition of Angelfire Xenon, a Web hosting and development site. Lycos and Macromedia join Handspring as a sponsor of the 2004 Student Web Awards, the only nationwide Web design contest for high school students.
